Auconet is named in Magic Quadrant for NAC and enters the US market
With a strong presence in San Francisco and a place in Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control (NAC) 2011"1, German software vendor Auconet has made a decisive step into the US market.
February 14, 2012 – San Francisco, CA and Berlin, Germany – The renowned research and consulting company Gartner Inc. reviewed Auconet and its newest NAC solutions, which are already being used successfully by clients with well over 100,000 endpoints. The agentless-based approach of Auconet proving a good fit also for BYOD environments, and Gartner has identified BYOD as the primary driver for Network Access Control.
"As consumerization and the spreading of BYOD is a phenomenon all enterprises have to deal with by and large, it becomes ever more vital that NAC solutions are able to include every device no matter the brand," says Frank Winter, CEO of Auconet. "Which is exactly what Auconet offers: a highly sophisticated and vendor-independent infrastructure-based NAC approach, that works even with those continent-spanning, heterogeneous IT networks usually owned by large enterprises. Extremely scalable and easy to deploy it is really a NAC solution that spreads into every corner without leaving the blind spots that can render your whole security toothless."
Other than many competitors the solutions Auconet offer enables enterprises to protect each network port directly and individually. Allowing the combined operation of IEEE 802.1X and MAC (Layer-2) authentication on one single platform, NAC by Auconet is able to create the highest security in any environment.
"Auconet provides 100% visibility into network traffic by capturing and displaying NetFlow records," CEO Frank Winter points out, "especially organizations with vast, heterogeneous network infrastructures will profit significantly from that."
So, the upgrading of its San Francisco branch is an open invitation to all large American enterprises to check Auconet's new and convincing answers to all the daunting questions that expansive networks tend to generate.
A good occasion to contact Auconet personally will be the RSA Conference 2012 in San Francisco, February 27 till March 2. You'll find the Auconet stand in the German Pavilion.
